Palestra: Scaling Agile: Strategies for Taking an Agile Approach in Complex Situations.




Resumo

Agile software development techniques are being adopted within the majority of organizations around the world and are now being applied “at scale” in very complex situations. This keynote begins with a summary of industry data examining agile adoption rates and application of agile software development at scale. It then overviews the Agile Scaling Model (ASM) and its 1+8 scaling factors: full agile delivery, large teams, distributed teams, regulatory compliance, organizational distribution, technical complexity, organizational complexity, and enterprise discipline. The ASM is applied to tailor several common agile practices to address common scaling scenarios, providing insight into why Agility@Scale can be significantly different than what is described by mainstream agile methods.
