Palestra: JDK and the Future of the Java Platform.
Resumo
This session will look at the features that are being planned for inclusion in the JDK as it is developed. There will be a number of announcements at JavaOne in September that will greatly clarify the future of Java under Oracle. Since this session is before JavaOne we won't be able to reveal any of these details but we will be able to present accurate technical details about the future of the JDK. This promises to be an interesting and educational session!Track: Casos e Soluções

Palestra: Almost An Hour of Garbage: Performance Tuning the JVM.
Resumo
The JVM has many, many options to control the way that it executes bytecodes and provides services such as memory and thread management for Java applications. It is often very difficult to understand how to use these options to improve the performance of an application. This session will explain how memory management and garbage collection works and which options can be used to good effect when tuning the VM for an application. We'll also look at some of the facilities in the VM that can be used for applications that have high levels of concurrency.Track: Casos e Soluções
